Twice a year the public cleansing service removes the graffiti
on the Ernst Thälmann* monument in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg.
I found it interesting to document this Sisyphean task and to
see how different crews use this bold memorial as their canvas.
I have been photographing this monument since 2012.
*E.T. was leader of the Communist Party of Germany from 1925 to 1933
